"Cultivating community and balance in the heart of Fresno."

Our curriculum follows the 37-posture Yang style as transmitted by Professor Cheng Man-ching, disciple of Yang Chen-fu. This system has been preserved through continuous instruction without alteration to its core principles.

Approach to Instruction

Tai Chi Chuan is presented not as a collection of exercises, but as a system governed by principles. Classes emphasize:

  • Accuracy of movement

  • Structural alignment

  • Coordination of the body as a unified system

  • Incremental skill development through repetition

Students learn through direct practice, correction, and sustained attention to detail.

Teaching Method

All instructors follow the same teaching model:

  • Demonstration

  • Guided repetition

  • Individual correction

This ensures consistency across all classes.

The Center operates as a volunteer-led organization

  • Our instructors are certified lineage holders of Tai Chi Chuan and volunteer their time to teach classes out of a deep personal belief in its benefits.

  • Instruction is consistent across classes, and all students follow the same core curriculum.

  • This structure ensures continuity of teaching and preserves the integrity of the method.
